A beautiful early Victorian period chair in the style of a 15th Century Bishops Chair, otherwise known as a Glastonbury Chair. This type of chairs would be used by Bishops who would travel their diocese and take their chair with them strapped to the side of a pack horse. The pegs in them were tapped out to allow the chair to fold flat. It has been re-upholster by a professional restorer and polished, otherwise it is in good original condition. This chair is made in Mid Oak.
